Grendel CAN 70 is in for Feb 9-10, and also for all 5 days of racing in March.  Any info about how to arrange for boat storage in between will be much appreciated.

Storage options in Miami -- I think most people will be based in Coconut Grove.  If you haven't done so already, call the US Sailing Center down there.  There are two different rates for Vipers:

1. $210/month or part thereof plus tax = $224.70/month
2. $25/day (plus tax)

For people who are planning to do Bacardi -- SIGN UP!  Once people see a bunch more entries, it will be more likely to get the fence sitters to attend.  I know of a bunch of people (including some on this thread) who say they are going but who haven't signed up.  http://www.yachtscoring.com/emenu.cfm?eID=729

Peter did you confirm the US Sailing Centre fees. Last year we had to pay for a calendar month even if you were there a few days of that month. Has this changed?

The US Sailing Center fees are from Mark Pincus, who is a friend of the Vipers who told us about that deal -- I think it is still all first come, first serve, so people should call and confirm availability and rates and fill out the necessary storage contracts.

Purplexed #83 is in for both Miami regattas and Charleston. I am working out logistics for getting the boat down there, anyone interested in ride sharing or splitting the driving? Currently, I plan to make the trip solo and tow the boat. However, I have a quote from a shipping company if anyone would be interested in stacking the boats and having them shipped:

$1700 from Boston to Miami
$850 from Miami to Charleston

Figured I'd put this out there and see if anyone else had any ideas or interest.

The January event did not happen.  Here is the schedule for the rest of the circuit:

February 9-10: Valentine's Regatta - NOR to be coming shortly.  First warning will be 1200 on Saturday, 1025 on Sunday.   Entry fee is $25 (unless you send in your form late, in which case it is $50)

Mar. 3-4 (Sunday/Monday) is the Pre-Bacardi Regatta.  Same entry fee, later start time Sunday (1300).  Justin is organizing social events Monday night and there will be something organized for Tuesday and Wednesday as well.  NOR will also be coming out for that one in the next couple of days.

Mar. 7-9 is Bacardi Cup.  15 Vipers already signed up -- please register online today at http://www.yachtscoring.com/emenu.cfm?eID=729 -- NOR is already up there.

If you want to store your boat at the US Sailing Center in Miami, you need to fill out a storage contract in advance -- go to http://www.usscmiami.org/ for details.

NORs and storage info for Valentine's Regatta and Pre-Bacardi are now posted.

What other Class could pull off a weekend of racing in Miami for a $25 entry fee? No, that's not a typo, the entry fee for each of these regattas is only twenty five dollars!

Please hit the links and email the electronic forms back to the folks listed in the NOR.
Race it like you stole it.
