the bum boys in bay two,

Cornish for "the nice gentlemen from Bay two". Matt is from the Duchy.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to translate the Bacardi interview in time before the nice gentleman from the Bacardi program got to read it, and it didnt get selected for the final program, but I promise to publish it on the class website.

More seriously, Matt actually is our best advertisement with the Bacardi sponsors. They love him! Eddie (head of sponsorship for bacardi) and Matt are soul brothers when it comes to the good things in life.
You will see that we got two whole pages in the program (Vs 1 for all other classes 'cept Star) and Bacardi are sponsoring our NAs which I dont see for Melges or J Boats.

Bay 3 will be serving Bacardi!

Have started to look into reserving slips for the fleet and need to know who's interested. The cost for a bay is $271/day and each bay accommodates seven boats (more if strung across the bay). Assuming seven boats and four days, this works out to $155/boat. Who's in? For those who've not done Charleston, the alternative is free docking toward the north-most point of the marina and a good healthy walk back and forth.

Have tried to get slips that open to the north which would result in less drama since we'd be leaving/returning against the tide. So far, Charleston Harbor wants to keep us where we've been.

Just thinking aloud here.
But I think most folks only need 3 nights and/or 3 days.
Thurs,Fri, Sat night.

Anyway at 37 Vipers, we are probably going to need that 4th bay.

Need a lot more than 4 bays.  Each bay is only 7 boats.  That stringing boats in the middle thing is stetchy in all that current.

Anyone who has not reserved a slip should consider starting a syndicate to fill a 4th bay.

Just wondering if there's anyone else out there who's on the 'budget program' and is going to us the Free docking?

I am on a "budget program" and I will not be using the free docking.

I think it is a worthwhile spend.

Matt did you add me to bay 3?

Call was in on post 21 and you are on the Bay 3 email thread.

Here's the lineup. Bay 3 is oversubscribed by one boat, Bay 4 under by one. If Bay 3 decides to go w/ 8 they should let Paul and me know so the next boat on the waiting list can join Bay 4. If Bay 3 wants to stick to seven, it needs to move someone to 4.

The Marina is aware that we've got almost another bay's worth of interest and is working on a solution.

Since my bay seems to be the most popular I am going to move Arthur Shaw to bay 4 since he is the only one I can't get a hold of!!

Jonathan, thanks for organising the lists.
