Okay.

Got your boat packed?

Vipers are launching from US Sailing Center.  Rig and Launch on Day One. Hoist and De rig. Leave trailers at the center. The cost for rigging, storage and launching is $25/day. It goes to a good cause.

Each Viper then has a slip at CRYC.  NOT BBYC.   CRYC has the tiki bar and Mark Pincus who is sailing a Viper is Regatta Chair is member of CRYC.

Thursday night, after the Bacardi Tent, The Vipers are going on for dinner to the restaurant "Calamari" which is next to the Taurus bar. All Vipers welcome. Call ahead and book a table and say that you are with the "Viper Party.  I have invited Eddie (Snr Bacardi) !

Mark tells us that this is a great restaurant and he knows management.

Anyone who partied with the Vipers when we met Eddie in Newport knows that Eddie understands Cuban hospitality. Some Viper sailors were denied entrance to the restaurant (combination of dress code and balance problems)until Eddie swept all objections aside announcing "These are my good friends" and then the Bacardi really started to flow in earnest.

We also have a few awards to hand out.

Brad and any Jackpot alumnae are also absolutely invited.

So we only have to pay the US sailing centre $50 for the whole regatta??

Checked out the Calamari restaurant in CG, looks good, even a decent non sea poo menu for real meat eaters.

Its $25 per day for use of hoist and storage. But once you are in, you are at CRYC.

Thanks for the info and organization.  Is there already assainged slips at CRYC for the Vipers or might we have to contact CRYC for that?  Really looking forward to this event.

Nice write up of three of our teams.

I interviewed Matt for the article as well, but it didn't make it past the censor. I will publish it on the class website instead.

So no fee for storing trailers at USSC?

JUst got off the phone with USSC. Here is a quick update.

USSC was thinking of $25 per day over the course of the regatta which would include trailer storage. So Weds- Sat would be $100.

But both USSC and I want this to be a hospitable experience for the Viper fleet.

Although Biscayne Bay is an awesome , really awesome, place to sail ....the Bacardi has stumbled because the Vipers have never really had a home base at this regatta. USSC wants to be our home base.

Soooooo, they have offered a $75 Regatta deal includes launch, hoist, storage  from Weds to Saturday.

Weather looks a little unsettled for later in the week. One thing I guarantee is that it will be considerably warmer than Mardis Gras regatta. Ha Ha!
