2011 West Coast Tour - Arizona First stage results

The West Coast Tour is back !

What a fun week-end racing at the beautiful Lake Pleasant - Az! We had all
the wind conditions : from 0 to 20 knots , 180 deg shift in the same race..
but always with sunny and warm weather and a fantastic viper fleet. A big thanks to Greg and Co for the organization of the overall event.
Now for the results .............guess what ?
A Texan team is taking it back to Tx again like last year !
Congratulations to Juan Mauri Team (the official regatta winner) and to Jeff Jones Team who is the first leader of the 2011 tour. (I am deeply sorry for Juan
but we keep all races in our scoring method, no throw-out ..).
The Texas teams are obviously more than welcome to join us for the next  stages !

See you all in Mission Bay (Ca) feb 19th-20th for the the second stage.

After review with Drew, Tim and Tony, the scoring system for the 2011 West Coast Tour is getting much simplified.

- adopt the low point system
- each event will have the same weight (promote smaller event)
- score your final position for each event
- not sailing an Event ? you score "participant+1"
- tie break ? : number of participations , head to head positions ..
