I'm pleased to share with you all that the rumoured Sarnia Viper Regatta can now be confirmed as fact! That's right, the Great Lakes Viper region will be back at Sarnia Yacht Club on the weekend of August 29-30 (Saturday/Sunday) for a weekend of fun racing. We will get regatta details out to you as they are available.
In the sense of keeping costs down there will likely not be a online registration so we are reqesting that boats confirm their attendance on this thread please.
For those coming from out of town, there are a wide range of hotels in the area. The Holiday Inn, and Best Western on Venetian Blvd are two very close options. The Harbourfront Inn on Harbour road is just another couple minutes further than the Holiday Inn or Best Western, but there are two bars across the parking lot that are pretty good.
Please respond below and we will keep a running list of boats.
Cheers!
Darren

Hello Everyone,
I am really looking forward to the Vipers coming back to Sarnia for a 2 day as many races as we can weekend! Sarnia Yacht club is a great place to sail right at the bottom of Lake Huron.
I will have the NOR and everything else up soon. If anyone needs we will try our hardest to find boats to sleep on if money is an issue but the Hotels in the area are not expensive!
Please let me know if you need anything we will do our best to accommodate everyone!!!

I would be in if I didn't have prior commitments. I will advertise it to our guys.
Thanks Peter. I believe we are up to 10 boats now. I'm just waiting for the 10th to indicate on here he's coming. It would be great if we could draw a few East Coast boats.
This regatta is shaping up to be a good one. Eric is sailing Jackpot and I'm sailing with Nick Ward for his first regatta. Should be a blast.
Who's going to be the tenth boat to sign up? Double digits on the line would be awesome.
Kiteley and I will racing his boat.

Thank you to everyone for coming out to Sarnia for the Viper Canadian Champs. Congrats to Eric, Brad, and Nick of Jackpot for winning the event.
The Boston family did an excellent job pulling the regatta together. They did a great job to make sure we were well fed and weren't thirsty at the after party on Saturday night.
For those that missed this event, make sure you slot it in for 2016. SYC is a great venue for Viper sailing and Lake Huron is one of the finest places in the world to sail.
Thanks again to everyone and good luck to all the GL boats headed to Lake Champlain for the next event (Great Lakes Championship).

And results are attached from what I am told.
Big thanks to the Bostons and to SYC for a great regatta; also to Darren for getting us all out there. Glad no one seems to know who was last--happy to draw a veil.
