Title: Viper 640 Anacortes Regatta and Demo Day - May 14-15

The PNW Viper 640 fleet will be having their next regatta May 14-15 out of the Anacortes Yacht Club. Following racing on the Saturday we will be hosting a demo day for those who would like to get out and test sail a Viper. Beverages will also be served.

Unfortunately the regatta weekend/demo day schedule May 14-15 has been cancelled due to Environmental Activism. There is a huge protest, aimed at the refineries, that has been scheduled in and around the racing venue of Fidalgo Bay.

It sounds as though it has potential to get ugly with roads blocked, 100+ kayaks taking to the water, with the Coast Guard and other enforcement agencies out restricting access to much of the bay and surrounding area.
