Title: Southeast Series 09 Update
Post by: doooouglus on November 12, 2008, 12:50:22 PM
Hi all:

Here is the latest that I have with Dates.  If you are from the area that has been designated with a regatta, please forward me the dates so we can all plug them into our schedule.

Here goes...

January     10&11     Lake Sinclair, GA

February    13-15     St Pete NOOD's, FL

March        ????       Lake Norman Regatta, NC

April          16-19     Charleston Race Week, SC

May          ????        Macintosh Cup, Savannah, GA

September  ?????      Lake Lanier Regatta, GA

October      17-18     Western Carolina Hospice Regatta, Lake Hartwell, GA

November   ????       Lake Norman Keel Boat Championship, NC

Best 4 will count.  1st place boat per regatta gets 40 points, second gets 39, and so on.  You get 10 extra bonus points if you travel to 4 regattas OUTSIDE of your normal sailing area.  High point wins the 2009 SE Series V640 Championship!

So let me get this straight.  If a boat from up North can compete in all these events win them and compete for total world domination.   Congrats on the new ride arriving.  If the boat doesnt sell beforehand I will be at lake Sinclair.

Dang Jason... sounds like a Blue / Grey thing starting up all over again!  :-)

The Series is not just for the southern boats... it is for EVERYONE!  A CAN boat can reaslitically come down, do well, get and extra 10 bonus points for racing 4 out of "home" events... and win the whole darn thing.  Of couse if that happens, we'll have to them snipe hunting!  :-)

In a way I hope that your boat does not sale ... we'd love to have your team in the running for the first SE Championship Series!
