Title: Props to Sarasota Sailing Squadron
Post by: Justin Scott on October 23, 2013, 09:00:40 AM
SSS is one of the newest Viper fleets.

They are currently hosting the F18 Americas Championship. If you want to see what a cool location SSS has for sailing, and what great regattas they host, its worth taking a quick peek at this vid'.

For some reason there has always been a close relationship between the F18 class and the Viper class with a number of people sailing in both classes. Mike McCloskey, Bob M, Chris Burd, John Casey spring to mind........but a special call out this week for mambo king, Tripp Burd, (Viper #54) who is currently lying in third place.

If any of the SSS Viperers are down at the beach...please give Tripp some of that local knowledge magic pixie dust that the SSS sailors are drinking.

We can follow the racing with live tracking here http://www.kattack.com/webplayer/?raceGUID=e8c09190-0b2f-4cb6-b793-385e8c201c65

But most of all....Dang, this is a beautiful spot to go sailing. We might have to drop by on our way to Miami!

No pixie dust needed, Justin.  Those guys were lights out yesterday and today (along with a couple of our youth sailors I might add).  Was a fun regatta here and we look forward to hosting a few Viper days this winter.

SSS youth sailors had an amazing regatta.

Kudos to Tripp Burd and Mike Easton.  They are very happy and rightly so.......it couldn't come to two nicer guys.
