Guessing the Noroton folks are too busy to post, but yes Virginia, there is a Noroton Fall Viper Open in 2019, Oct. 19-20, and yes, that is the approximate time of year as the 2020 Viper NAs, also at Noroton, so great practice opportunity at the same venue only a year away.  Sign up for the 2019 event now - NOR and entry form posted at https://www.yachtscoring.com/emenu.cfm?eID=9637  Free housing available at Justin's house for the first 30 teams who sign up.

Further Details

1. Each guest is expected to supply 1 bottle of Bloom gin per bed per night
2. Due to the larger average size of Canadians and their proclivity to drink 5X the amount of an average US American, I have room for 30 US teams or 6 Canadian teams.  Conversely I have room for 60 growth challenged teams from NYC. :)
3. If anyone has any questions about this local regatta, please reach out to Bob or Joe who are leading the charge on this regatta. I have been put in a padded cell and told to focus on LiveTiles 2020 Viper NA Championships at Noroton.  Lots of exciting news coming up on that event (no leaks please Peter) but the Fall regatta this year is a good chance to start figuring out the idiosyncrasies of Fall sailing near the former oyster capital of the world.

Whoop whoop.......16 boats
The Canadians are coming in force.

Peter tells me that not everyone is staying at our cottage.
Cole disagrees and says that everyone he talks to is planning to stay.
Jackie points out that the heat has not been turned on and it is cold.
Cole says that nobody cares about heat.
Be warned, hot water is heated by propane and the propane tank is a small tank on the side of the cottage. the club has nice showers!

Looking forward to extending everyone a welcome at Noroton and some nice fall sailing.

Can everyone keep their eyes open for my jib in Noroton?  It's a one off doyle cross cut jib built with contender clothe.  It's the only one out there and would've been buttoned last year.  I think I lost it at this regatta last year.

Thanks!

Nice event at Noroton this past weekend.  For those who didn't show up due to what looked like a subpar forecast - you missed out, and further evidence that forecasting has not yet been perfected.  Saturday was 9-14 kts from the WSW with 5 races and Sunday was 7-12 knots from the east with another 4 races.  Good hospitality and an efficient Race Committee, nice way to end the season on WLIS.  Thanks to Joe, Bob and Justin for making it happen.
