Hey All,

I'm extremely psyched to race Vipers in the Newport Regatta. I'd really like to see a good turnout for the class... I hope to meet lots of our new Viperer's from LIS.

I just checked the website, and we don't yet have an option to register. Justin, any idea when Sail Newport might have that online, or if there's an offline option? July 7 is the entry deadline to aviod late fees.

I'm going to try to talk Maureen into coming down, driving our RIB as the official Viper support and photo boat... Would be a nice turn around to have her following ME around a racecourse in Newport for a change! Perhaps even delivering post-racing frozen cocktails, if the cordless blender still works...

Race it like you stole it.

We can register on line. They fixed the glitch. I'm registered. C ya there.

Just saw Jim Andrews today, so I showed him his (new to him) Viper. The last time I raced vs him was in J24s at the Newport regatta. It will be great to have him in the class.

Heck , he needs to sort out his "hall pass" application process. It sounds way too arbitrary to me. We are only alloted a limited number of days on this blue planet.........if 70% of the surface is ocean, then 70% of the days should be spent on the water....am I right?

Sounds like the right ratio to me, Justin.  We're only up to 50%.

Look forward to meeting you all in Newport. We'll be racing on the Melges.
