12 entries very quickly without trying, still several Marblehead teams yet to sign up, not counting others from Southern New England, Canada, etc.  Should be a 20+ Viper regatta easily.

Hi Everyone!

We're at 15 entries now, and still have a few local teams not signed up!  My scratch scratch (Meow!) sheet has 26 teams who have told me that they're 'in'.  I also see a pretty easy path to 30+ if you want to join in the fun!  The Marblehead fleet is extremely excited to welcome the Viper fleet to our neck of the woods:  it's an iconic mid-summer regatta.

The club hosting this year is Corinthian, which for me personally has the best patio and main dining room of the clubs in town.  We're still working on figuring out the exact dockage situation, but there are a number of us based out of Boston YC--and with them not hosting the main party, there will be more space there potentially for the Viper fleet--stay tuned on this..

Like last year, the local fleet also is starting to plan our own party.  Last July we brought in 250 oysters and we had 5-6 folks in the fleet up for shucking :) (Molimards, Teddy, Pat, etc..)  Likely we do something similar!  It's going to be great!

Housing is generally tight in town, so if you can find something nice (ie: rooms at BYC!) try to lock them down.  The local fleet is also doing our best to host as many out of town teams as possible, but we do have limited space--reach out to me if you're looking for housing (we're having a fleet bbq this weekend and I'll have a good picture of what space we have then..).

Otherwise, reach out to me if you have any logistics questions in the meantime--and...sign up!  I promise it's going to be an excellent time, where the Viper fleet was founded! :)

We're at 19--and we still have 1 more local boat who is signing up..  Who's up for travelling to sail w/ us?  You won't regret it: there's already planning right now for the Oysters for Friday night--we bought 250 for the fleet last year, I think this year it's more like ~350...  The Molimards shucked like 150 themselves last year, so I'm thankful they're in for 2023!

For the Record, the total ammount of Oysters requested at MRW 2022 was 344. I believe we ultimatley Purchased 350 to give us a slight buffer.
16 Boats raced which averages 21 Oysters consumed per boat. We're waiting for a few stragglers, but see no reason why the oyster count won't go over 500 in 2023.
