Nepean One Design June 21-22

Great News!  Registration is open for the Nepean One Design regatta June 21-22.

This is the first year that the Vipers will be participating in the event.  Ottawa has been home to a couple of vipers over the years and rumor has it another is moving into the area. 

I'm looking forward to getting back to Nepean Sail Club.  The facilities there are fantastic for Viper sailing.  Registration is pretty cheap and includes a dinner.

We had a good weekend at the Nepean One Design regatta. Light winds were the dominant factor - cooking in the heat and sun Saturday until a small breeze filled in, when we were able to get 2 races in. Relieved on Sunday morning to find a  steady 5-6 kt breeze at the 10:00 am start (which died around noon, giving us 3 more races).

Nepean Sailing Club put on a great event. Enough BBQ chicken to satisfy the hungriest sailors!
And lots of cold beer :)
