After hearing of some confusion regarding the reduced block rates at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel in the FQ, I am working Monday to resolve this issue. I double checked and the rates will be as follows:

Bourbon Orleans: $129
Marriott Lakeway: $109 (suburbia - not the Quarter)

I have also asked the Sports Foundation to try and find us a hotel that will run about $110 a night in the FQ.

Also a couple of boathouse owners next to the yacht club have approached me about possibly renting these houses out to the racers - please let me know if there might be interest in a group getting together and doing this.

RV parking will be confirmed at the site of the event in the next week.

Ok - we have some new rates at a couple of different French Quarter hotels including $119. I am finalizing the contracts and will post the links here and on the MGRW website.

I also have one boathouse (so far) that is willing to rent from Wed the 9th to Sun the 13th. For six people, it will be $2,500. It's pretty sweet with a hot tub, balconey, (1 bedroom, 1 sleeper sofa & air mattress), private dock and just a minute from NOYC. That works out to $104 or so a head a night.

OK - we have some new hotel rates for MGRW and they should be locked into their computers tomorrow. Mention Mardi Gras Race Week or Mardi Gras Regatta.

The INN on Bourbon: $119 a night

Both hotels are very pleasant, located in the heart of the French Quarter and very safe.
