Are any Vipers planning on sailing Mardi Gras Race Week Next Year? Do not they had a start this year.
Not sure about Vipers at Mardi Gras in 2014.
There were three or four boats in 2013. They had their own start.
Two of the Gulf Coast boats were sailing in other classes in 2013 (Robert Harrison on #99 was sailing Vanguard 15's) (Craig and Deborah #100 were sailing Hobie 33's).
New Orleans Yacht Club has interest in bring the Vipers back in 2014. The class just has to show a committed effort if the class wants to go there again.
2014 Dates are March 4-9. unfortunately that is right smack in the middle of the Viper Class stuff in Miami. Viper Pan Am's, Miami are March 2-3rd, Bacardi Race Week Miami is March 6-8.
So ummm. That very well just might sum that up.
I am going to Miami.

There could be a NC Viper heading that way....OR I may just be down there hanging out for a few weeks.
Have sailed Mardi Gras Race Week the past two years and had a great time.
If this conflicts with Miami probably going to the blue water.
