To all,
  I have arranged boat storage for those who are participating in Southern Bay Race Week and wish to bring boats up after Charleston to store them here until June so they are not dragging boats back and forth.  The event website will be up in a couple of weeks and you will be able to get all details. We have made arrangements for a reduced rate hotel (Crown Plaza) that is in walking distance of the club. There are more hotels a few miles away that may even be more economical.  I will supply names and rates of any others if requested.

    SOUTHERN BAY RACE WEEK 2011 - June 2 (welcome and check-in), June 3 - 4 - 5 (racing and parties) in Hampton, Virginia.  This is a great regatta in early June.  Racing takes place off Ocean View, at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, but inside the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel crossing.  Detailed information regarding accommodations (special $109 rate for SBRW racers at the waterfront Crowne Plaza), dockage, hoist, and trailer storage at host Hampton Yacht Club, NOR, entry form,  regatta features list, etc. is available at the event website  www.blacksealcup.com    IN ADDITION, special for the Viper 640 racers, SBRW 2011 offers  free storage  of boats on trailers for the period between Charleston Race Week (April) and SBRW 2011.  So, if you plan on coming up the coast after CRW, think about leaving your boat in Hampton until you return to SBRW the first weekend in June.   Southern Bay Race Week -super southern hospitality,  3 days of great racing and 4 nights of great parties.  Y'all come racing!    (regatta information:  Lin McCarthy, [email protected]  or (757) 850-4225)
