I have neither but Henry A from Hampton can arrange to deliver brackets. I saw your correspondence with Dan....but honestly I would grab a bracket while you can if a Hampton boat can bring them up for you. The pintels are smaller and lighter and can be shipper later saving everyone some money.

Heads Up......Menu coming soon:

Hello Viper Competitors,

Thank you for all your support. We are looking forward to giving a warm welcome to each and every one of your teams.

We will shortly be sending out an email to give you all a chance to sign up for dinner at the club on Saturday evening. Instead of the usual blah regatta buffet, we have opted to run the Club's Osprey Bistro for competitors. This will be more akin to all of us going out to a restaurant together.  Our hosts will be Wim Jessup and Niki Glekas. Wim is our club manager and a most convivial host. Niki will be providing the food and beverage service.

A word about Niki to whet your appetites.  Niki runs a restaurant in Stanford called Eos which is ranked the #1 Greek restaurant in the area by Yelp and Zagat. If you like good food, the locals rave about it.  It is superb fresh contemporary Greek cuisine .   Please try the Lavraki Elias.  But I digress! Somehow, our club lucked out and Niki is running our food and beverage.  The Osprey Bistro is the best gig in town for great food and a view over the sound. Niki has put together a menu for us on Saturday evening offering 5 entrees. She is offering a price range that ranges from Seared Tuna to a Burger with home- made kettle chips. So there is something for everyone. But like any good restaurant with seating and a menu we have to book our tables in advance. We also have to give Niki and her staff our choice of entrees so that she can serve us in a timely fashion.   The menu will be posted in the regatta documents.

If you want to eat at the Osprey Bistro with all of us on Saturday evening, you must book in advance and indicate your choice from the menu.
Please fill out a form, one for each team at the following link. Please indicate how many, team and guests, will be coming for dinner and their choice of menu items.
Please complete this by Thursday latest

It should be a great evening.  Did I mention that Christian makes superb cocktails?

Word of advice: If you like salads, the salads are decent sized portions. Jackie and I sometimes order the Trimmer as an entree. Its really good.

Change of plan regarding dinner menues:

All you have to do is confirm how many team members and guests will attend.

Nikki's wait staff will take your orders at your tables. She just needs to know numbers so she can plan the number of tables.

This way you do not have to try and figure out in advance exactly what you want to eat in a weeks time. Feel free to peruse the menu in the meantime.

Hope this makes it easier.

Really looking forward to next weekend everybody!

Just a quick note here--anyone looking for crew next weekend still?  Our newest owner up here in Marblehead is looking for an opportunity to crew--he's a great guy and will be good to have on the boat--  If there are any leads, feel free to PM me or facebook, or email me ;)

Cheers,

Cole

FYI, bring warm gear for this weekend.  I'd love to be wrong about that one, but I think air temperatures will be dropping rapidly in the NYC area over the next 36 hours.  Could be mid 40s while rigging in the morning (and post dinner Saturday night), and in the mid to high 40s while sailing out each day, with race course air temps in the low to mid 50s at best.  60s would be nice but a bit unlikely as of now.

Sorry for digging up this old post.

I seem to be missing a jib, and after retracing my steps, I think I might've left it at Noroton last year.  It would be a Doyle Boston jib, 2017 or 2018 on the date.

If anyone has found it can you please let me know?

Thanks!
