19 Vipers signed up so far, and I know of at least 3 more who say they're coming who need to sign up (94, 110, 180), maybe a few other stragglers who can be encouraged to attend.  Reminder that you do not need to sail on Friday to have this count toward the EFG Series and the New England Championship (and in fact I believe there's a discounted entry fee for those who can only do two of the three days).

Very standard to race Vipers in Potters cove, in the location suggested above.
The course is very affected by current and especially the cone effect around Gould Island. The Western shore can provide good relief but can get shallow quickly. Wind direction is usually Northerly in the morning with a lull at lunch time and sea breeze in the afternoon. Unless it is bright and sunny the sea breeze can be a little fickle. Be patient don't harass the committee into starting races in the changing breeze it sucks and is a crap shoot. If you race in the east-west direction expect some frustrating conditions. If the southerly comes look out for a fun sailing.

Shaping up to have some excellent competition -- a lot of very fast teams.  Where are the Fer de Lance gentlemen for this one?  Probably the only major east coast Viper regatta winner of the past couple of years not to be signed up so far.

we had a great time last year in Newport, but as it's a light air venue, best to save funds for
miami in winter.

also if Last Call boys were going we would be in!

have fun
