Reading about next year's RS 200 European championship on Lake Garda brings back many happy memories of the Viper regatta on Lake Garda.

That was among some of the best sailing in a Viper I have ever enjoyed.

Tony Chapman had an apartment next to ours within a short walk of the club.

Tacking off the headwall and dodging the windsurfers.
Graeme Monkhouse riding a bicycle through the old town with an inflated kangaroo on his shoulders.
Taking Paul Young to the local hospital where he was looked after by a gruff cardiologist and a very pretty nurse.
Hiking up to the monastery above the town
Stern to-Mediterranean mooring.  Twenty paces from the boat to a cafe-bar in medieval town square 
Great sailing. Great Food. Great Wine.

I would like to go back.
