Hi folks, we just wrapped up our Turkey Day event, or should I say Mother Nature stepped in and pulled the plug. Good racing on Saturday, then the front came throught that morrning. Ave 20-25 with 30+ gusts. 1st time to pull the plug in almost 30yrs. Anyway, 3 Vipers decide to go out and play... here is the 1st of the videos..

normal day on the solent, looks like fun :)
Very cool Vid. Looks like nice long downhill ride. Did you guys have to slog it all the way back up?
Yea, I hate physics also.... what goes down must come back up.. or something like that.. :)
Going back was not as much fun... But there were some huge waves when we got outside the shelter of the break water. Kind of scary to see land disappear on a viper... Here is the other video from Saturday:

Great videos. I'm glad you had the umm courage to put the kite up. We need more heavy air vids to show everyone that its all good in the breeze.
Ha yeah.. "courage", the drinks at the bar before helped a lot too
Hey great cleavage...ah...I mean great shots from the cleavage cam....no, I'll stick with the first comment.....
From one of the other Vipers that went out that day... Timbo's been waiting for this vid like a kid on Christmas morning!
Here you go!

Oh, and sorry for making fun of you at 1:25...

Thanks Jim.... it sure is hard to get a scale of the swell from the videos... Fun stuff, cameras and all.. Just make sure you keep room for a cooler. :)
LOL, nice form... hahaha
Great video Jim!!
This really was a great regatta! Saturday's racing was super tight... Pretty sure 5 of the boats were leading a race at some point. Most mark roundings saw multiple boats overlapped and every time we came into the last leeward gate, there was a 3-5 boat-battle for 1st! Sunday's blowout gave us a good excuse to just go out and play, which is great once in a while... Can't wait for "den" (of Vipers) to descend on Mission Bay!

As the advertisement says "So easy even Timbo can do it!"
Seriously, Jim that was a great fun video. I really got a sense of the fun, wild day you guys had.
I'll say it again, its the people and the fun times we have that make a great class.....and you guys have buckets full.
We should ask Dan or one of the web turks to put an edited version of this on the front page.
Oh.......and Jim, you have a nice cleavage as well.
I can embed it into the ABYC regatta report...

Probably should be a bit shorter. Dont want anyone signing off before they get to some of the best parts....especially Jim's shit eating grin and thumbs up at the end. Hey with enthusiasm like that, makes me want to go sailing tonight.
I think Jim will have to edit it then
I'll cut it down a bunch
