Hi all ya'll Southern boys and girls. The 2018 Viper 640 Gulf Coast Champs is just a few weeks away at Pontchartrain Yacht Club in beautiful Mandeville, Louisiana.
If you ever sailed on the New Orleans side of the lake, well, this is the other side. This is also the Back to School Regatta for the youngins, so make it a family affair.
registration is up and open and can be found here:

Don't be scared.....
Rumors stirring of a Texas boat coming. Rumors stirring for the next weeknd the Houston HOOD regatta might get some boats after Gulf Coast Champs down there.....
17 boats made it for four races on day one. Awesome turnout! Some of us double handed (not a good decision) and one boat sailed with four (albeit Susan Reeces-Danilson sporting a baby bump and driving).
Race Five drone Video here. Credit to DJ Bolyard who did a great job with the video work:

Race Six drone video. Again, big kudos to DJ Bolyard for providing the footage. This was day two after some boats went home after day one. It was hotter then hell during the weekend and light air. Pontchartrain Yacht Club really did a great job with this regatta:
