Don't say Worlds, ISAF will come and hunt you down like Canadian Customs!
How about, "Viper 640 Intercontinental Championship"?

Hi Folks,
Things are looking good out West... Everything is on track for our 1st 20+ boat event on the Left Coast. We have entries from Vancouver, Seattle, Phoenix and a possible entry or two from back East. Any interest from Texas??? How about making this our 1st 25+ boat event. ;)
Here is the latest press release

Okay...!
It looks like my charter-er for #24 just bailed for a big boat, so I may come down and sail her.
Or... if a new boat is available, maybe I take her for a test drive...?
Either way, I probably will need crew. Contact me if interested. #24 is available for charter.

I think #72 is avalible for charter... skipper taking CG exam.
Olaf, Tim how much to charter for LBRW?
Looks like the mythical 20 entries has been reached! Shooting for 25 now!
Lee, Jonsey:
Should we send our triple-boat hauler your direction to get you to LBRW? Lemme check on the per/mile cost... Problem is, trailer would need to make 2 round trips...
flights booked
Fer de Lance are back
we are entry #21
Triple boat trailer I got, time... Not so much.
There's been a lot of discussion about it. You guys are putting together one hell of a program out there.

Not until you sign up you're not! Not showing up on the entry list at least. Make it happen, but glad to hear you guys are back in the game. I have not been disappointed the two times I've raced Vipers in Long Beach, and am I told I wasn't even there when the weather was good.
just trying to drum up some more numbers
2 or 4 others still sitting on the fence..
this is THE regatta on the West Coast, best sailing best parties, best folks.
Come on out folks!!! :)
One month out and we are static @ 20 boats.. I know there are some others just itching to join in. Will we hit 25??
up to 23 now with just under a month to go.... 25? 28? :P
Come on, you know you want to be here to celebrate this very important event for Vipers on the West Coast, and accrue points towards the Pan Am Champs.
Entrants from:
British Columbia
Washington
California
Arizona
and the Isle or Wright
Any more states want to join in on the fun?
You can even go to Disneyland :)
Tim -
I just received this update from the local weather gods. The sailing conditions will be excellent again in 2013. Wind strengths between 8-20 kts are on tap along with plenty of sunshine. Couple this with the excellent shore facilities at ABYC and it will be hard not to have a enjoyable regatta. Just sayin...
Really nice job guys, keep it rolling. Wish we could make it out.
see ya in 2014 or in Houston if you make it to the NAs

We just hit the 25 boat marker, its going to be a blast!
LBRW is also the left coast qualifier for the EFG Pan American Championship: http://www.viper640.org/component/content/article/14-news/419-efg-revamps-viper-pan-american-championship-sponsorship
With 25 boats entered for LBRW:
Finishing positions 1 thru 5 will carry 1 point towards the Pan Americans final
2-10 = 2 points
11-15 = 3 points
16-20 = 4 points
21-25 = 5 points
DNC = 7 points.
In the final event, these points are equivalent to a single non-discardable race. So if we race 8 races in Miami...then you can discard your worst race. Then those 7 races + your qualifier points will determine the results in Miami.
Good luck in Long Beach.
Good times for all... fairly typical breeze pattern setting in..
Saturday and Sunday
Looking at first day's results. That looks like some close racing!
Typical Long Beach with sunshine and breeze .......if your into that sort of thing :). Looks like more of the same on tap for day 2. Day one results here...

Some great pics as well when I can get wifi
Pics would be great.
Sunshine? Breeze? Who needs that. Not looking forward to 2014 at all.
Day 2 was epic Long Beach! Breeze and sun (sounding like a broken record). All topped of with a great party
Wow, check out the results, looks like some exciting racing on Sunday! Anyone want to post some stories?
