Post by: Doug Mroz on August 28, 2011, 06:34:58 PM
Anyone know exactly what the boat and trailer weigh together for towing purposes?

i'd go 2K

800 for the boat, at least that for the trailer.

I thought someone told me once that the trailer was around 375 lbs or so.  Makes sense when you get a couple of guys to lift up the back end when there's no boat on it -- if it was 800 lbs, that'd be a huge struggle.

Now a Texas Viper trailer...  Yea, that's every bit of 2K.....  They build 'em bigger down there

I haven't weighed a Rondar trailer but have assembled a shitload of them from parts. My guess, It weighs no more than 400, fully assembled.

I'd say 1200.

My VW Sportwagon hauls it like there's  nothing there.
