Check out today's Snake Bytes.

The brackets held up well in strong winds in Perth. However, we only had 1 day of really strong winds (2 races over 22kts gusts to 30).

TC has mandated one last destructive test at the factory then if all goes well manufacturing will start immediately.

Mike, I made up 2 backing plates for the VB1 after the Gorge because 1 full size one wouldn't fit thru the inspection port.  The backing plates cover the complete face of the rudder post to distribute any load across that face. Hope this helps.
Cheers,
John

On VB2, washers on each screw work just fine

Does anyone know the dimensions of the mounting hardware for the extra bolts/nuts for the VB2?  Asking for a friend - can't find it anywhere on the forums.  Someone is doing a last minute install before Larchmont Race Week this weekend.

Don't mean to hijack the tread (shout out to Matt Sole's boat name), but Peter are you asking because a shipment of brackets has been received?  I've been waiting since March for mine.

No. Just a slacker in my fleet who hasn't installed the bracket that they've had for over a year and who now wants to get it done in the 36 hours before the biggest local event of the season.  :-)
