Have any of the Viper top cover makers modified their design to accommodate the rudder tower with the vertical bracket?

Peter Beardsley

Yep. Rain and Shine UK or whatever it is called. There are pics of it on my Instagram. Put it on last week, looks great.

The Sailors Taylor cover Bob & I designed was pre-vertical rudder (for #181) but Bob can easily lengthen the transom panel to accommodate the tower, you just need to give him a new measurement.  His covers will last at 2-3x longer than a Harken or North cover, not sure about the UK one life.

Just had Jon Savage of Doyle Sails (City Island) modify mine. The lower seam was torn from the stress of the vertical bracket so he repaired that. The then made a diamond shaped cutout for the bracket. Will take a pic and post. Jonathan

How much did he charge for the cover repair?

Jonathan?
Apologies... Wasn't able to log on. A bit over $200 but undoubtedly most of that was to fix the tear. To just do the mod would have been less.
