Just wondering how people store there outboards when they are not sailing? I'm looking for a secure way to store the motor with the boat. Maybe In a locked box on the trailer? Our new set up does lend itself well to storing the motor at home. Additionally the boat is stored in a very public spot, so I do worry about theft of the motor.

Hi Andrew, I think the best option is for a locked trailer box.  I have a Thule box on my trailer as a storage box and store the leg of my Torqeedo in there.  The battery comes home for charging.

I bring mine home daily and put it in the garage.  Safest option.  Also minimizes the odds of the fuel getting too hot while stored inside the boat or box and having engine issues down the line if you use a gas engine.
