Title: hoisting sling
Post by: WallyHollyday on November 13, 2014, 11:01:01 PM
Hi new boat owner here. Anyone have measurements, detail, or picture of hoisting sling (bridle)? Boat didn't come with one and need to get one made. Thanks! Hull #90

Hi Wally,  My sling has a 350cm front leg and 150cm aft legs from the center ring to the carabiner hooks.

See you next week..

Hi Wally,

First off, welcome to the Class.

Take the shackle off your jib and attach to the bow fitting where it would normally go for the jib and clip the front leg to that.

Cheers,
John

Wally, one thing you may want to do is have a small loop of spectra around your jib tack shackle that is strong enough to hoist from.  Prevents you from needing to remove the shackle each time and also adds length to the front part of the bridle if needed to keep the rig away from the hoist. Works nicely for us.
