hiking straps

I am a freak as a Viper sailor.  I am 6'7" and as the driver, the placement of the hiking straps on #43 are in a bad location.  I have read the class rules but did not notice anything referring to a specific measurement. Is it possible to locate the hiking straps in a place farther INBOARD so my tall ass can comfortably hike?

Jeez, you should be using this extra righting moment to your advantage not getting rid of it.

You can't move the attachment points but there is no rule on what the straps look like. Try finding a strap that is like a double length windsurfer foot strap. Then hike your way to first place!

Steve, it may be possible to make a strap for yourself, mount it on the pot side mouting points but string it in a way to sathat you use it to hike to starboard (and viseversa on the otherside).  These straps would cross over the center of the boat, however it would increase the distance you are looking for.  And no extra mounting required.

On the pot side...my idea of fun!!  Good idea crossing them over, I will experiment and see how it works, thanks.
