Title: AVINOX rivets
Post by: Nmuzia on January 17, 2026, 08:22:26 AM
I need to replace some hardware on the mast and looking to use Avinox rivets per recommendations. I have to order in pack of 100 plus shipping, but only need 3. Does anyone have these type of rivet I could buy and pay shipping via Venmo or other means??

Avinox

Avinox Rivets are highly encouraged. This is even published on the class website here:https://www.viper640.org/builder/repairs-upgrades/spreader-bracket-replacement/

It's shocking to see any old stainless rivet from McMasterCarr, etc recommended. They are not the same.
Furthermore, It's a terrible idea to shoot rivets in with a single-hand grip rivet tool To get the proper fitting you really need the double-handed rivet tool.

With that said, this site should be a good supply for Vipers. https://www.rivetsonline.com/pr65ffpa-be61-0618-avinox-blind-rivets/pr65ffpa
Unfortunatley as noted they do come in 100 packs so hopefully nobody breaks anything, but if so Nick on #127 could be the source of a proper replacement.
