Title: #22 Mongoose went to a new home
Post by: Parker Hoblin on September 05, 2024, 08:33:22 AM
Mongoose is now in Castine Maine under the ownership of Taylor Martin. There's another local Viper there so one more boat and they'll have a fleet.

It was fun racing with y'all!

A bunch of Vipers heading to Maine these days, and a resurgent Boothbay Harbor regatta planned for 2025 with a large Viper turnout on the horizon.  Exciting stuff!  We'll miss you Parker.  Please ask Taylor to drop me a line so I can get him on the east coast mailing list, and I'll send him some tips and tricks for his trouble.

This is good news. I am currently working with a group in Southport.  They have young kids.  They have been sailing with me on Sunapee.  They love the boat.  They will sail Sunapee in spring and fall and summer the boat in Boothbay.  A win for both fleets!

Taylor should consider coming to the Viper Maine State Championships this Summer.  Does anyone have his contact info?

Also there are rumors that the Boothbay sail and science program might be interested in some good value Vipers.  Anyone looking to make a donation for tax benefits should contact Jeff Hankin.
