Got it. You're in good company (Williams, Locke, Miller, Gilbert and Dumas hopefully slated for a Bay 5). Haven't heard from Kay V and Jerry Wendt. If this group comes together it will put Bay 3 to shame.

The resort knows where we stand and is working on a solution.

Being nearly local, I probably will show up early at the marina.  Does the harbormaster have a clue which bay is which, or do I get to pick the best for Bay #3?  And when will the bays be open. . .

Darren Gilbert

Just wondering what everyone is doing with their trailers?  It doesn't seem like we can leave them at the ramp, and given that some of us have our lights attached to our tie down bars it might be difficult to move them.

Thoughts?

Good grief. You "Bay 3" guys are out of control. Here's the way it's going to work... If a bay along "A" dock is available, that will be designated Bay 1; if a second "A" dock bay is available; that will be Bay 2 otherwise they'll be on "B" dock; if a third "A" bay is available along with a "B" dock bay, Bay 3 gets to choose; Bay 4 gets what's left. And hopefully, we'll have a Bay 5. I will be there Wednesday though I expect to have this sorted before then. When I have the details, I will pass them along.

We are paying like you would for a hotel - 3 nights checking in Thursday and out Sunday. Anyone who wants to show up on Wednesday, needs to make their own arrangements with the Resort. Keep in mind these slips/bays are not simply vacant awaiting our arrival. The Resort has to move tenants around to make room for us. Showing up early unannounced will be a problem.

Tie your light/tie down bar to the trailer and you'll be fine. The event will announce parking locations on the website (if they've not done so already). Last year there was a large amount of space near the ramp to the bridge. The other option involves residents who live near the ramp. They've been willing to store trailers for a fee. It's not free but you don't have to coordinate cars/trailers/boat when it comes time to haul. Jonathan

The storage space under the bridge on ramp is fine for storage. Not very secure but its pretty out the way. Never heard of any problems with stuff going missing.

Same as every year. Just tow the trailer to the designated trailer storage area without lights. Its really close. Its hospitable South Carolina! The town rolls out a big welcome mat -they dont worry about a few trailers on their way to the parking lot. Without the boat, vehicles behind can see your indicators just fine.

Hi Jonathan - just confirming you got our request to join a bay (emailed 3/26). Thanks for organizing!
first boat I ever owned was viper #28; it was a gateway drug.
my current viper is #98; I can't sail it enough.
the resulting sailing addiction's ok up to that point, but come Winter whydahell do I also have to frostbite a Laser?!

Matt Sole

Kay! Looking forward to racing against you it feels like ages ago I saw you on the start line.

See you Wednesday

Will have more of an update tonight but looks like we're being allotted five bays (3 A dock bays and 2 B).

Would everyone who's requested paid docking, please send me a blank email with CRW Berthing in the subject line ([email protected]).
