This is happening this weekend.  27 boats -- any chance that we see a couple more entries?  Weather forecast looks ok -- looking forward to seeing some SIs on Yacht Scoring.  Anyone know how the circles will be organized?  I assume that the Melges 20s and 24s will be in their own area like Miami -- does that mean that we'll have an overly crowded Viper circle?  Hope not.

The official "program" shows courses for the viper and j24 grouped together, maybe we are sharing a circle.  Besides that all I know is that the hospitality tent opens up at 3 on thursday.  See yall there!

You bet ya!

(I'm looking for a third BTW)
East Coast: Viper #56;  West Coast: Viper #24 (available for charter)

There are no J24's at this regatta.

It looks like we will be sharing a course with the star fleet.
After talking with race management, it is more about finding a good partner for the star fleet more than anything else.

One thing that is nice, is that our race area will just north of Fort Adams near the harbour entrance, so no drifting races to the race area like last years Living Coastal regatta.

Have fun guys, but 55 will have to stay down South for this one. Saving that gas money for Sarnia like Jay.

Jackpot will be there sailing Thursday afternoon if anyone would like to sail against us and tune us up. Can't wait to get out on the Viper again it's been to long since Charleston....

Where's everyone staying?  Chuck Allen said to look in Middleton at the hotels there.  Anyone in there already?

We are at the Travelodge in Middletown. It was $80 a night. Best deal I could find.

Mambo Kings will be there. With or without crew!!!!!

There are still some boats signed up for racing this weekend at Bacardi who have not signed up for Pan Ams/Atlantic Coasts . Puhlease dont make me have to do it manually. It is so much easire for you to do a couple of key strokes, since it transfers your data automatically from the original entry for Bacardi.

Glad to report Mambo Kings will be there WITH crew. Rain and thunderstorms will not keep us from the Rum tent.
Good to see all the usual drunks.

I hope you left some for us tomorrow.

Mambo Kings just checked into the HoJos. Lot of Viper logos (and one Viper) in the parking lot.

This exchange between West and East Coast might be useful:-

Seems to be going well here.

The key is to clean salt off the sail. Way to do this is to get sponge soaked in fresh water and a plastic beaker of rum. Take the sponge and wipe sail, then drink the rum from the beaker. Clean sponge and refill beaker .Repeat until spot where you are going to put logo on sail is clean. If in doubt use more than 1 beaker per sponge.

Came out great:

They do stick fine on mylar.. Suggestion, get a flat table and pull the backing off as one piece. Then drop the whole applique as one unit, then peel the top...

What is Dacron? These are for sails not your boxer shorts.
