We have 2 teams planning to come to Marblehead for your Labour Day and NA regattas. Long way off but long way to come. We are now into finding accommodation and new sails ideas and of course we will need boats and some local knowledge. We would prefer to buy new sails for collection on arrival. Ideas and help welcomed.

just incase you missed my post in other thread

firstly Rondar USA is very close by, so Dan Tucker should
be able to help you out with boats.

If you want help with setup and want your sail maker on
the course, then go with Doyle.

but as you have Hydes, the new stuff looks good but go for
a Doyle or North Kite!

cheers

I suspect the boys from North will also be on the course at NAs from what I am hearing -- Ched and Garth will be out there.  Hard to go wrong with Doyle or North -- people are winning events with both.

Thank you all for your prompt responses. Brad, I will email you about sails. Johnny Stubbs and Chriso (our Spiritual Leader of Vipers Aust) will also be involved. We are into job sharing. My prime role will be travel and accommodation. But because I will buy a set of sails I will need lots of info (support). I do not have enough depth of knowledge alone. We are all constantly interested in the boats.

Anybody got ideas on accomm perhaps a house for the 6 of us and transport to get us around. Do we need a big car and driver. Do we bring Bundi or good Aussie wine to smooth the way?

Good Aussie wine???

"A lot of people in this country pooh-pooh Australian table wines. This is a pity as many fine Australian wines ......"

".... Another good fighting wine is Melbourne Old-and-Yellow, which is particularly heavy and should be used only for hand-to-hand combat.

Quite the reverse is true of Château Chunder, which is an appellation contrôlée, specially grown for those keen on regurgitation; a fine wine which really opens up the sluices at both ends... Real emetic fans will also go for a Hobart Muddy "

Brad I have tried to email you about sails but it continually bounces back.

I will keep trying but I will be in Florida from 13 April
for over a week so might be easier to tele you or email you from there at
Least to get the conversation started.
We are planning on being at the NAs with 2 teams and are looking for
travel and accommodation now so sails are important we remain trusting that
we will get 2 charter boats; good wine and bundy is still on offer.

Brad,
Keep an eye out for my email from my wife's email address (Clare Griffiths). I still had no luck responding to you from my email.

Once we are connected I will send comments and get this rolling.
