For those of you buying a new boat, please contact your local DMV prior to recieving your boat. If Rondar knows specifically the documents you need and the form you need them it. We will be proactive on helping you through this process.

It's important to know that the Reps for Rondar are NOT dealers. We can't sign dealer forms from your local DMV. We just represent the boat, help you do the riggup, etc.

For those of you buying used boats, it's important to make sure you understand exactly what is required for your local DMV prior to doing the deal, PARTICULARLY if you are buying a boat from another state. I've heard countless horror stories about people being made to track down original titles which never existed.

I second that. My hull ID number was too long so they had to shorten it on paper. Cut the GB off. They didnt seem pleased at DMV as always.

Funny Story... I purchased #92 via financing from the original owner.  He never bothered registering it and didn't have a Title.  While I was getting all the paperwork in order, the bank said they wanted the Title, since I didn't  have one I needed to have the State create one. First step, pay the taxes, which I did (unfortunately ) When I tried to register it so I can get a title created, I was told by the Mass. Environmental people, who are in charge of such things, that I couldn't register it or title it because it didn't have a motor: No Motor=No Numbers in Mass.   It took me months and a few letters to finally get the bank to stop pestering me. One particularly foul person threatened to repo the boat, to which I replied "Kinda hard to do without a title"

and if he threatened to take physical possesion of the boat, you could always take him down to Parkers, point to that rotting Corinthian 20 in the top left corner and sob "Please dont take away my beloved Viper"...like a banker is going to know what a Viper looks like.
The Corinthian owner will be thrilled with the $500 you slip him and you own the Viper free and clear!

Don't forget those pesky bank lawyers who deal with defaulted loans...though I don't think Darren or I would be dealing with repoing small boats and cars 99.99% of the time.
