Halifax looks incredible in January...I had no idea.

Yeah, I always pictured it as a frozen wasteland in winter.  20ft snow drifts, 3 inch layer of ice on everything, etc...

It was very nice when I arrived there in the summer of 2005  after the marblehead to Halifax race.  But in winter? Not how I imagined at all.
