Mast Head Kite

Has anyone had experience with running mast head kites?

We do a lot of mixed fleet racing where the extra power would be very beneficial to our VMG/rating ratio, so are looking at option of mast head kite with slightly longer pole, anyone tried this? Did you have to add extra stays to mast head?

Yeah I know it is an OD class, but I want the best of both worlds when OD not available.

Assume one of the Rondar guys will chime in, but IMHO there's not enough structure/support in that rig to support a masthead spinnaker.

Be big fun, probably sketchy though. You'd need to add cap shrouds and definitely. Halyard box would be tight or just go exit with a strop.

For all the hassle, I wonder if it's just easy to get a new rig made with the right parts structure? Alex at C-tech is up for the job.
