Title: Mounting Temporary Running Lights
Post by: Eli Feinstein on July 10, 2017, 11:59:16 AM
New boat owner, ex-Jackpot.

I want to do a few warm up PHRF evening races.   Has anyone figured out a good way to mount running lights fore and aft?

Thanks,

-Eli Feinstein, New Orleans.

Hi Eli - Sorry I don't mean to hijack your thread, but did you buy #119?

Yes, I have some very compact LED lights that attach magnetically - I'll send you a photo and name of the lights.

I think the USCG states that running lights are optional if the boat is under 23'.  You must carry a flashlight to shine on your sail so you can be seen if you do not have 3 way lights.

hi Eli

I sail 211, also an ex Jackpot....
We sail PHRF often into the dark of night. These are easier to use than a flashlight.....just cost more!
