Accommodations for Charleston

Chip and I have located a beautiful house to rent for the Charleston
Race week.  I'm attaching the link so you can all check it out.  If
you are aware of any other skippers that might be interested please
let me know and I will email them with the information.  The skippers
that I have already emailed include Justin, Kay, Chris & Dawn Shaughnessy,
Paul Zimmerman and John McCormick.

The total cost is $7,000 per week (maybe + housekeeping, I am in
the process of confirming fees) and it looks like we can rent it by the
night at about $1000 per night.  We are talking about a total of
15 people (5 Vipers).

If we rent it for the three nights of the regatta it comes out to
about $70 per person per night.  Compared to the other possible
accommodations we think this is a great deal all around.

In order for us to reserve it Chip and I will need to put a deposit on
the house very soon.  We are therefore looking for deposits from
each of the interested skippers which will cover himself and his
crew for the house rental.  Please send me a check for $315 (approx.
1/2 of the total cost per boat) so I receive the checks by Friday,
February 1st at the latest.  I will then send in the deposit check on the rental
to the rental agent. 

This is a first come first served situation.

Bump Bump.

If you read the SA thread on CRW, you will see that many previous participants recommend the house rental approach and most seem to say they will be staying on Isle of Palms.... which I think is where Julie has rented.

........  of course the beach, a bag and the stars is your other option.  In April....hmmm
