Chris and I are talking about driving the boat down at Christmas time.  I actually grew up in Venice, FL and my parents still live near there. (Venice is about an hour south of St. Pete, for anyone whose never heard of it.)  This way the boat won't have to spend any cold lonely january days in our driveway in NJ.  It can hang out in the sunshine getting aclimated to the Florida weather.

As to the weather on LIS in October, on the first day last year, I had on a wetsuit and full foul weather gear as it was cold, windy and raining.  Day two - shorts and a t-shirt.  You never can tell.  It's worht it though, because the sailing is a lot of fun and you can get to the race course in less than 10 minutes.

Time to make plans for the Arizona Yacht Club's Birthday Regatta and Leukemia Cup!

Tonight it is 60 degrees, but raining. That means it won't rain for another month.

Then off to San Diego for the first ever Pacific Ocean NOOD Regatta via San Diego Yacht Club! We are anticipating six to eight boats from Arizona... Come join the fun!

If anyone needs or wants to store a boat in between in Arizona, we have pleanty of spare room to do it.

Also, if you come early, we can find some extra bedrooms to crash in before and after the regatta!
