Two Distance Races in North Carolina Labor Day Weekend

There are two fun distance races Labor Day Weekend, and one direction usually ends up being a 20 mile spinnaker run.  Saturday is a one way race from New Bern, NC to Oriental, NC (Oar Race), then Sunday there is a return race from Oriental to New Bern (Michelob Ultra Regatta).  You can launch out of Blackbeard Sailing Club and store your trailer there for the weekend.  I have a few extra beds either on my 36.7 or at the house a mile from the club.  Contact me at [email protected] if you would like more information.  Registration is available for the Oar, but they are still finalizing the details on the party for the Michelob Ultra on Sunday.  Granny's Hoe and Dave Furna's new Viper will be racing.
