2016 Great Lakes Championship - Chicago August 27-28

After polling all of the GL owners, with 18 boats responding (and a few who I am sure will reply to my earlier email), there are 8 boats who confirmed and 1 maybe who have all said they will be in Chicago.

This event is being hosted by the Chicago Yacht Club, Belmont Harbour, and held in conjunction with the Verve Inshore Regatta

Note that the J70's at this regatta are sailing 3 days. Vipers will only sail 2 days.

It's a great venue and has excellent facilities. Just north of the city centre and Lincoln Park, in the Lakeview suburb, this is a fantastic site for Vipers and the club will be a great host. I visited Chicago this past March and really enjoyed some great food, amazing night life and the great location on the lake.

Local owner Tony Bowker (194) claims there is good beer to be had, so grease your wheel bearings and get ready for the road trip, it will be worth it!
