The 2016 Viper New England Championship is going to be a can't miss event this year!  We're teaming up with the ONE regatta up here in Marblehead for two days of excitement.  The goal here is to have 30+ Vipers on the line for this, so please sign up early:

Just specify "Viper 640" and call the PHRF rating whatever you'd like.  The regatta organizers are placing our entries into the appropriate one design group.  Our boats are going to be launched out of Eastern YC (or Parkers) and kept in the water overnight on moorings.  I'm working on trailer storage right down the street to make things easy...

The regatta is going to be hosted by Eastern YC, who will be holding a Saturday evening dinner.  General plan from the local fleet is for a tuneup and launch day on Friday for any early arrivals, with a BBQ and/or Maddies run afterwards.  Please stay tuned for more details.  The local fleet really wants to make this a special event!

Cheers,

Cole

Yes, Vipers are only racing Saturday and Sunday.  The two-day regattas seem to work better for most people for regional stuff.  Happy to open that up for conversation for future events if people want, but the goal is always to get the greatest number of folks to attend.  That said, if people want to show up early and practice, it sounds like there may be that opportunity via Eastern YC.  Ghost Panda is signed up and is looking forward to a great event.

Yes Jason, this is going to be a 2 day Viper event.  We're going to be looking at having a special practice day (informal racing) on Friday for those that come early though.

Cheers,

Cole

Jason - Got a phone call from your Viper trailer.  It wants to go on a road trip.  Two events in one trip south from Vermont.  Following weekend 9/3&4 is the Fishers Island Sound Viper Regatta in Noank.  We'll store your boat for the week at it's old home.

Dave - how many boats can you guys store for the week?  You may get a few takers on that.

Always good when the entry is synced to credit card info.  Peter Broszkowski?  Not as intimidating.  Piotr Broszkowski?  I think that guy was on the Polish 49er Olympic team.  FK VanValkenburgh is only sailing his Viper because his 12 Meter is being shipped to the Med.

Race it like you stole it.

I don't see any death metal guys registered for New Englands yet.  Or Viper 118.  Get on that. There are all sorts of spots you can do on a Viper with one arm.
