Please follow the link and keep these dates in mind when planing your season. For out US friends Kingston is a great fresh water venue plus you can take advantage of the low Canadian dollar...

PS, I loved sailing in Kingston. Will there be housing with Viper locals, or will the dorm option be open again?

Hi Jason,

I think you'll find this to be a more 'economical' event when compared to CORK.  We hope to have a great turnout for this one.  Kingston is an amazing place to go yacht racing.

July 9-10 are the dates.

I don't want to steal James' thunder so I won't say any more about what is planned.

Defer to James as well, but sailing out of Kingston YC is much different organizationally (from a cost standpoint) than sailing out of CORK, even though the racecourse is almost identical.  Should be fantastic.

Final cost are being finalized based on pending sponsorships, but even without sponsorship it will be far less then CORK and will include a dinner at the club. KYC is an older club with the charm to match, trailer parking is going to be a Portsmouth due to limited space at KYC and some may choose to launch out of Portsmouth (where CORK is run from) but is a 10 min sail to the club. All the boats will be able to moor at KYC. We will have housing options listed on the NoR which will include a dorm option from either St. Lawrence or Queens university. If other housing options are required to get you here please contact me and we will see what we can arrange. This could turn into an annual event if we have a good turnout, so hope to see you here.

And yes the race course will be the same and because of the time of year and no worlds going on in Kingston this year we should have the lake to ourselves. And the race committee will be pretty much the same as CORK.

We are working for storage solutions for anyone sailing in the Ottawa NOD's and would like to leave their boat in between regattas.
