Weatherflow sells  a Bluetooth wind meter for $80. Mounted on a Windex 10, I plan to mount it on the headboard of the main for temporary use. Successfully tested on the car side mirror up to 50 knots. Weathermeter unit includes an electronic compass, so even when the headboard rotates it will capture apparent wind azimuth.
