So it looks like the Summer Schedule is starting to come together nicely.

June 3-5 - Bayview One Design - Detroit (CONFIRMED!)
June 17-19 - Noods - Chicago (still need to confirm if the fleet is doing this event?)
June 18-19 - NODs - Ottawa (CONFIRMED!)
July 9-10 - Regatta to be named - Kingston (almost confirmed)
August 27-28 - Verve Cup - Chicago (CONFIRMED)
September 24-25 - Lake Champlain Regatta - Lake Champlain (CONFIRMED)

The hole in the schedule that needs to be filled is early August.  If we could get a regatta in the central Great Lakes region during that time, it would be a good choice for the Great Lakes Championship.

We also need to select a regatta for the Canadian Champs, that is looking like it will be either NODs or Kingston.

Please jump in with your thoughts on this schedule and what events you can see yourself attending.

Cheers!
Darren

I reached out to the guys on Lake Cayuga this week to see if they'd want to plan something in Central NY, which is not quite GL region but it's not too bad a drive - closer than Champlain for the boats in the western part, not brutally far from Ottawa (closer than WLIS), and not too bad a trip for WLIS teams (some of whom want to sail on Cayuga from their Cornell alum sailing days) - good wine country for the significant others and a pretty spot, no idea what the wind is like in the summer but could be an interesting venue, TBD on dates.

After careful consideration we have chosen July 9 and 10 2016 for a regatta in Kingston Ontario. This seem to fit well in our schedule as well as Kingston's busy regatta schedule. We sure hope to attract boats from all over our region, its one of the best sailing venues around and worth the trip. We will be posting details soon with NOR to follow.

Kingston is my favorite sailing venue in North America.  Make the event the Canadian Viper Nationals and the odds of a panda cameo increase greatly.

The end of July, early August would be a perfect fit in the schedule for the Sarnia Regatta.....The Boston family really does host a great event.
