Gulf Coast email balst copy
« on: September 23, 2015, 01:47:24 PM »
Hi, All.  Just an email blast in regards to the Vipers on the Gulf Coast.

As you may know, the Viper 640 was recently selected to replace the Flying Scot as Interclub boat in the Gulf Yachting Association after 50 years of sailing the Scot.  The selection process began three years ago and cultivated to a vote of the GYA member clubs September 5th.  There will be a transition process from 2017 going into 2017 and 2018.  So plan on more and more Vipers showing up along the coast.

We plan on doing an email blast once a month to keep all along the Gulf Coast informed of Viper happenings.  So if you know of anyone else that may also need to be on this email blast list, please feel free to forward that email in reply.  Thank you.

Next central Gulf Coast event is the Wadewitz Regatta, Fairhope Yacht Club, Fairhope, Alabama. : http://www.gya.org/documents/notices/2015/Wadewitz2015.pdf

We also have the Jubilee Regatta at Pensacola Yacht Club, November 7-8th at Pensacola Yacht Club, Pensacola, FL.  The Jubilee Regatta is the final regatta in the GYA are Viper circuit.

We would love to have a calendar of Texas events to include in our email blasts.

Then is the Sarasota Winter Series.
December 12-13
January 9-10
February 6-7

KEY WEST RACE WEEK : has three Vipers pre-registered.  There is some talk of getting a Viper house.  KWRW has a three day series for the short course that is a short sail from the harbor.  So no long sails out the channel and around the bend, no week hand a half long vacation required.   Think about it....http://www.yachtscoring.com/emenu.cfm?eID=1390

Hope to hear from some of you and thanks for taking the time to read this.  Forward this around to folks we very well have missed (Craig lost his list from a computer crash)
