There are some great Viper videos here and on Youtube (like Somers', cleavage cam's and many more) but I have to say, the recent VX productions are setting the standard for speedporn (e.g., the Bennetts going 24 knots.)

A little more boat speed porn wouldn't hurt the class, IMO.

I know, I know, I've I got a nice background for it. And plenty of wind. Wish I had more talent.

Stars: carnage and planing on Lake Dillon a few years back.

Another good one taken this past weekend onboard the Honey Badger.

I like seeing the spray back by the spin blocks! What did the Velocitek say?

18.7 was the believed top speed, apparently it started to get too windy.  I am awaiting the final cut that includes a gybe...

Not a windy video - some footage from the first day in Miami of us in marginal planing conditions (10-12 kts) that includes a blow-through gybe at the 0:50 mark that we would rate as a 7.6 out of 10 (we didn't know we were being filmed, and it was Day 1 -- the gybes got better later in the event).  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXP6O28Ji9c

The VX  Ones are possibly a major competitor to the Vipers here in Australia, unfortunately we do not have the population to support multiple classes so both classes suffer. The VX's do push their class with exciting videos , showing high speeds. I submit to our Facebook page here but am not as flash as others. I agree , we need some action on our site. The old saying , a picture is worth a thousand words.

One of my goals this year is to capture lots of video of the season.  I guarantee nothing exciting will happen with the cameras rolling, but you never know...

Sailing back into the Club after Windermere Regatta in Anacortes. We picked up a PHRF hitchhiker with a gopro on his head and hit 13+ a few times sailing 4up with and extra 200+ on the boat.

Here's a video of the Nepean One Design regatta a few weeks back.  Not a lot of wind, but still a lot of fun!

Light air day in Larchmont in May but the drone footage is good with some nice editing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyMIkLzu7Zs

These are all great.....but one has to come to the Viper forums to find them, which is really the preserve of the cognoscenti who already love the Viper.

The front page of the website remains very static visually. In the previous version of the website, where news items appeared on the front page, there were always fresh photos and images and videos which drew one in.

A quick glance at the website front page doesn't let the viewer know that there is something new and fresh that he/she has not looked at yet.

The new website is much more professional...so kudos for that.....but as constructive feedback, when a new article or video is added to the site, rather than a simple line of text (which doesn't catch much attention) on the front page...perhaps we can have a teaser about the article with an image.  So title, image and opening paragraph.  That way the home page looks fresh and different every month reflecting the vibrant active class that we really are.
