Hello all.

Attached is the Notice of Race for the Viper 640 Gulf Coast Championships, May 2-3, Fort Walton Yacht Club, FL.  This is promising to be an amazing event as the Championships are tied in with the Gulf Yachting Association Opening Regatta  (www.gya.org).  As well as a part of the GYA's selection process in replacing the Club owned Flying Scots as the GYA interclub race boat.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st-5th Overall for the Vipers, a "Farthest Travelled Award" and "Youngest Crew Award (under 18yrs).

For those of you travelling between events, the Fleet Captain has arranged for special $5.00 month dry storage (mast up or down, with water and tie-downs) to keep your boat there prior to and after the event.

Stay tuned for more details as we organize teams to sail, possible charter availabilities, and boat deliver to and from the event assistance.

Registration opens February 14th here: https://www.nextsailor.com/app/page/reg_start/48

Contact Craig Wilusz here on this forum if we can help you in anyway in getting ya'll down here in Northwest Florida.

Craig, we're bringing at least 3 Vipers from Sarasota.  To make it even more fun, we're inviting some of our Viper friends from Hampton Virginia to mix it up as crew.  Should be a good Viper gathering.  We're looking forward to seeing you again and also meeting the other GYA area Viperers.

Wanted to say thank you to Craig, Deb and the Fort Walton Yacht Club for hosting a very fun regatta.  The weather was perfect and the people were nice.  Plus, it was great to have Bill from Sail 22 there with Viper parts, Craig and Deb's new business with sailing supplies and Dan Tucker giving support and welcoming prospective Viperers.

I was lucky enough to sail with two outstanding sailors - Henry Amthor from Hampton, VA and Dustin Romey from Miami.  An incredibly fun weekend.  Can't wait to go back next year.
