Ok, finally a proper way to beat a J/70:

Not only were we planing every downwind leg, we managed to latch onto the stern wave of a J/122 and surf our way up to their stern, then heat it up, pass them, break overlap, and round ahead! Even with an extra upwind leg, we still beat them overall.

Now those pesky J/29s… Maybe we could have worked harder upwind and Boomer might not have caught us on corrected.

Hard to tell from that angle, but the jib looks strapped. The tighter it is, the more it'll f-up the kite's ability to breathe.
