Asymmetrical Spinnaker Evolution

Over the past decade, what changes in size and shape have been made to the class spinnaker?  At this point in history, what are the opinions on fastest design and stuff like that? 
The topic comes up after I look at 77's spin.  that appears quite a bit fuller and shouldery than the kites I have for 33.
